How to Use the Synchronifier

1) Load your Original Transcript (UTF-8 .txt).
2) Load your Timecode Reference (WebVTT or SRT).
   • For best accuracy, do NOT group multiple speakers into one paragraph in the reference VTT;
     short, granular cues map best.
   • If SRT is used, include speaker tags (e.g., “NAME: …” or <v Speaker>).
3) Click “Synchronify” to insert timecode at each speaker change.
4) Export TXT and/or VTT outputs.
5) (Optional) Load media and click any [HH:MM:SS] in the output to seek & verify.

Batch Processing
1) Choose “Batch Processing.”
2) For each interview, deliberately select one Original Transcript and its matching VTT/SRT reference.
3) Choose or drag the two files together, then click “Add / Validate Pair.” If both files pass validation, the pair is added and the intake area clears automatically for the next interview.
4) Review the pair list before processing. The tool never guesses pairings from filenames.
5) Click “Synchronify Batch.” Each pair uses the same alignment and timing logic as Single Transcript mode.
6) After processing, click “Review with Media” for any pair to load that interview’s audio/video and spot-check clickable synchronized timecodes.\n7) Click “Export Sync” to download one ZIP containing a subfolder for each interview, with its synchronized TXT and VTT files together.

Notes
• All processing occurs locally—no files are uploaded or stored.
• The human transcript is text-authority; the reference file is time-authority.
• Bracketed asides [like this] and … ellipses are ignored during matching to improve alignment.
